Lam Tung Pang’s immersive video installation, A day of two Suns (2019), is presented at Asian Art Museum’s duo exhibition Memento. The exhibition explores the modern city as both a personal and political landscape.
Lam Tung Pang’s video installation captures a changing in Hong Kong. On both sides of a suspended diaphanous paper screen, unsynchronized images from four projectors combine with shadows of museum visitors, inviting viewers into an emotional landscape. The artwork is prophetic and nostalgic which documents a city, a system, in the process of fading and awakening.
